Residential HVAC Service Technician

Location: Rowlett, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday with a rotating on-call schedule during peak season

Pay: $75,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, and control-related issues
  • Perform maintenance inspections and identify potential concerns before they become major repairs
  • Communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally with homeowners
  • Educate customers on equipment operation, maintenance plans, repair options, and system replacement opportunities when appropriate
  • Collect payments and complete all required job documentation accurately
  • Maintain truck inventory, tools, and company equipment
  • Work closely with dispatch and office staff to provide a five-star customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent Arthur Heating & Air with integrity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience required
  • Current EPA Certification required
  • Texas TDLR Registration required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, crawl through attics, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work outdoors in Texas heat and varying weather conditions
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing
  • Ability to safely perform all essential job functions of a residential HVAC technician
